Our Journey
Six years of choosing less, and better
A single atelier, twelve pieces
Forme launched from one rented atelier in Copenhagen with twelve carefully chosen pieces and a manifesto pinned to the wall. It was less a shop than a point of view — choose less, and choose better.
Organised around how you live
We reorganised the entire studio around how people actually live — by room and by ritual — and published our first seasonal Journal on the interiors, makers, and materials we love.
Traceable materials, guaranteed
Every piece in the edit moved to traceable, responsibly sourced materials and a five-year guarantee, backed by an in-house care & repair programme that keeps objects in use, not in landfill.
A studio without borders
Now shipping to 28 countries and working with more than 40 ateliers, the edit still answers to the same question it started with — would we live with this ourselves? If the answer isn't yes, it doesn't ship.
01 / Material
Reclaimed, & honest by default
Each piece begins with the material, not the marketing. We favour solid oak, full-grain leather, stone, and wool — and wherever we can, reclaimed timber that would otherwise go to waste. Nothing hides behind a finish; everything is meant to age in the open.
02 / Community
Our community & makers
We don't manufacture — we collaborate. Forme works with a small circle of family-run workshops and independent designers who have spent decades perfecting a single craft. Every piece carries the signature of the people who shaped it, and a fair share of its value goes back to them.
