Our Story

A Studio for Considered Living

Forme is an editorial furniture studio curating objects for rooms that carry meaning — chosen for material, proportion, and the life lived around them.

A considered edit of furniture and objects, made to be lived with, repaired, and quietly relied on for years to come.

Ethically Made

Built in small workshops that pay fairly and keep working hours humane.

Sustainable Materials

Solid oak, full-grain leather and wool responsibly sourced and traceable.

Circular Design

Made to be lived with, repaired, and one day returned to nature.

Our Journey

Six years of choosing less, and better

The first Forme atelier in Copenhagen

A single atelier, twelve pieces

Forme launched from one rented atelier in Copenhagen with twelve carefully chosen pieces and a manifesto pinned to the wall. It was less a shop than a point of view — choose less, and choose better.

Material Focus Close-up of natural timber and textile materials

01 / Material

Reclaimed, & honest by default

Each piece begins with the material, not the marketing. We favour solid oak, full-grain leather, stone, and wool — and wherever we can, reclaimed timber that would otherwise go to waste. Nothing hides behind a finish; everything is meant to age in the open.

Solid, traceable timber — never veneer over particle board
Reclaimed and FSC-certified sources on every wooden piece
Natural fibres and finishes chosen to patina, not peel

02 / Community

Our community & makers

We don't manufacture — we collaborate. Forme works with a small circle of family-run workshops and independent designers who have spent decades perfecting a single craft. Every piece carries the signature of the people who shaped it, and a fair share of its value goes back to them.

Made Responsibly

Good design shouldn't cost the earth

Longevity is our first sustainability strategy. Beyond that, we hold every partner and every material to commitments we're willing to publish — and be measured against.

FSC-certified and traceable timber on every wooden piece
Plastic-free packaging, shipped flat to lower its footprint
A repair-first programme that keeps pieces out of landfill
Fair, audited workshops behind every name in the edit

We're not trying to fill your home. We're trying to make sure that what's already in it is worth keeping — long after the season that made it new.
